Je m'insurge contre cette comparaison avec Popeye, qui lui avait des avant-bras fort bien développés !

Rien à voir donc, rendons-lui justice !

BODYBUILDER Moustafa Ismail is the proud owner of the world's biggest biceps.

Measuring an incredible 31 inches around, the Egyptian muscle man's bulging arms have the same circumference as a grown man's waist.

And they've earned him a spot in the newest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, which launched in London today.

Moustafa, 24, has spent ten years building up his biceps.

He works out twice a day, lifting a staggering 500kg, and guzzling down a protein-packed daily diet of 3lbs of chicken, 1lb of steak or fish and three litres of protein shakes.

But the man nicknamed 'Big Mo' by his friends insists genetics play a part in his impressive physique - his father was an Egyptian wrestler.

Moustafa, who lives with his wife Carolina, 30, started bodybuilding in a bid to keep fit.

But after hitting the gym he received hundreds of compliments on his arms and decided to concentrate all of his efforts on making them even bigger.

He said: "My friends in the gym just couldn’t believe how much my arms seem to grow so I began to really focus on getting bigger.

"Working out makes my mood better. You’re just focusing. And I like that in this type of sport you can see your improvement in your shape.

"I know they are growing, my chest, my shoulders, my arms. I love the weights."

Moustafa's so dedicated to his hobby he moved his entire family to America five years ago so he could have access to better gym equipment.

Now he juggles his daily workout schedule with his day job running two petrol stations near his home in Massachusetts.

His ample arms mean he's constantly compared to Popeye - but Moustafa insists, unlike the cartoon muscle man, he hates the taste of spinach.

He said: "People always you remind me of Popeye the sailor man, this makes me laugh the truth is I don’t have any spinach in my diet I can’t stand the stuff.

"I’ll stick to my chicken I think.

"Actually I think my arms are now bigger than the cartoon character."
