Laurence Shahlaei : "As far as weekends go, it's been a pretty awesome one!! Yesterday was probably the single biggest day in British strongman history. First Eddie Hall's unbelievable world record SMASHING 500kg deadlift. Then, I went on to win Europe's Strongest Man.
It was a brutally strong lineup and it's always an honour to share the stage with such amazing athletes and characters. But yesterday it all came together for me and I had the performance of a lifetime. I cannot begin to describe how happy I am!! Last year after yet another injury, I was so ready to quit. I felt like the unluckiest person in the world and it was soul destroying trying to come back again and again. But thanks to the love and support of the amazing people around me, I chose to try again, and yesterday's win made it all worth while. This is as much for them as it is for me. Thank you to my fans, the most loyal and supportive fans I could hope for."
