Thanks for posting that up, Dave. Lighting was bad, but those were actually bench/box squats. Probably more than 1/4, but Hardly Krishna I hear what you're saying...nothing beats a full squat.
In April of 2010 I was squatting 675 and someone watching touched one side of the bar. I went up crooked and my lower back was screwed. I've been confined to box squats or partials off of pins ever since. I guess it was better than no squats at all. The interesting thing is the vastus lateralis is activated most with a 1/4 squat.
Thankfully the last two weekends I've been able to do full squats with 495 for reps. I sure miss loading up the squat bar for full reps. Hopefully my back will continue to feel good as I progress back up in weight.
